Class Description: In this class, students will learn the basics of stage (and film) acting,
starting from simple stage directions and vocal projection to monologue, cold-readings, improv
techniques, and more.

About Mike Yow : Mike Yow is a professional actor and acting coach living in the Asheville
area, after moving from Atlanta nearly a decade ago. Having appeared in over 170 stage and
film productions, Mike has coached several students toward Broadway careers and, in addition
to performing and coaching, works as a tour guide, fight choreographer, and author.
